At a suggestion from Neil Brocklesby, our designer Peter's son, we have set up reciprocal website links. To have a look at P B Associates website go to the links page.
Official re-opening weekend 27th and 28th September proved to be even more successful than even we had hoped.
Starting with the open day our "happy smiley greeters" were kept permanently busy for the best part of six hours. Tea, coffee and other refreshments were kept permanently on the go and "Andy's Soup" was an immediate success.
Music was also provided at intervals with our own organist Michael providing a very long session in the morning, and "Wild Strawberries" providing two sessions in the afternoon.
Further Musical Entertainment was provided with a Concert by Cradley Heath Male Voice Choir in the evening. This fine performance, again was well attended and despite being a "free" concert some £400+ was raised.
The climax to the weekend was the Dedication Service at 4.00pm on Sunday 28th September which had a capacity attendance with the Mayor and Mayoressof Dudley, Lynda Waltho MP, and other honoured guests.
Music was provided by Michael and the Choir and a quartet of musicians from Wolverhampton Symphony Orchestra.
The centrepiece of the Dedication Service was, however the address by The Rev'd the Lord Leslie Griffiths. This proved to be as challenging as it was eleoquent and left the congregation with much to think about for the future.
Stuart and the Stewards wish to say a big thank you to all involved in the re-development and in the organisation of the brilliant weekend just experienced, which gave us such a good start for the future at New Road.
