Churches Together in Stourbridge Climate Meeting

On Wednesday 27th October at 7.30 p.m. Churches Together in Stourbridge are holding a discussion evening with the title: “And a New Earth …Our response to the climate crisis and the dream of a better future.”

This is another free event, taking place at the Quaker Meeting House, Scotts Road, DY8 1UR.

Prayer Boats for COP26

We are invited to make boats for display at the Climate Festival.  Christian Aid Group is following the theme “We all face the same storm but we’re not all in the same boat”. We aim to collect and display prayer boats made by churches in Stourbridge before eventually sending them off to Glasgow to join prayer boats from throughout the UK for display at COP26.

The boats can be made from already used paper (newspaper works well) starting with a piece of A4 or A5.  You are invited to write a short prayer and/or your wishes for the UN Climate Change Conference - COP26 - on the paper before you start and then follow the instructions on the attached sheet.

The boats can be taken to St. Thomas’ Church at any time during the Festival or hand them to Jane Williamson who will make sure your boat joins the fleet.
